Typically Light Duty can be used to make small screens or used in areas  where damage is not expected such as under  roof soffits. It is also used in vivariums

The Heavy Duty can be used to make larger screens, such as door screens in kitchens, it is much hader wearing and less likely to damage.

Both items are suitable for food use.
