Our close collaboration with designers, clients, and builders is key to achieving their vision for cladding timberwork in metal for brass and copper interiors. While it can present some challenges, we work diligently to ensure everything aligns and accommodates the sheet metal. As an example, we often clad kitchen doors and drawers, which requires us to adjust the MDF blanks supplied by the kitchen fitter due to the additional metal thickness. We provide guidance on the necessary size reduction and may also recommend heavier duty or additional hinges to support the added weight.
A large project we worked on a few years ago was with Javelin Block who were transforming former factories in the Jewellery Quarter in Birmingham into stylish apartments with an industrial theme. Working with Stuart Holt, founding director of RIBA award-winning design practice Javelin Block, and the kitchen installer we supplied over 50 full kitchens totally clad zinc or brass.

Patination of Metals
Natural copper, brass, zinc, bronze, pewter can be transformed with the application of patina finishes. There are many patina finishes we can apply as you can see below, if you have a sizable interior design project we look at a bespoke patina. Another patina is Rusted Corten, we have done several projects using Corten including the one below for The Main Company. These are always clear lacquer finished.
