A striking example of custom signage, these bespoke copper letters and the accompanying company logo were produced for the Savyll Beverage Co., known for its premium alcohol-free cocktails.

The finished letters are a composite design, combining satin-finish copper with a clear acrylic backing. This approach provides a visually refined appearance while offering added durability and stability for display purposes.

Savyll provided us with their preferred font styles and logo artwork, which we faithfully reproduced. The letters themselves were precision-cut from 1.2mm thick copper sheet metal using our state-of-the-art CNC letter cutting machinery. This ensures clean lines and exact replication of the supplied branding elements, resulting in a high-quality and professional finish.

For Cenetta Ristorante in Rochdale, we created custom aged brass letters tailored to match the restaurant’s classic Italian aesthetic. The client supplied their preferred font, which we accurately translated into physical lettering using our CNC cutting equipment. Each character was cut from 1.5mm thick brass sheet metal, ensuring durability and a solid, high-quality feel.

Once cut, the letters were passed to our in-house patina studio, where a carefully controlled ageing process was applied. This patina finish gives the metal letters a timeless, weathered appearance, ideal for adding warmth and character to the restaurant’s visual branding.

In addition to producing brass and copper letters and bespoke company logos, we have seen a growing interest in zinc and Corten steel lettering. These alternative materials offer a distinct aesthetic, particularly suited to architectural and design-led projects.

Brass lettering, especially when paired with a company logo, conveys a sense of prestige and sophistication. Its golden appearance and higher material cost make it a striking choice for businesses seeking a bold and luxurious statement. Aged copper lettering, on the other hand, carries a warm, rustic charm that becomes more pronounced over time. One example of this can be seen in the aged copper signage we produce for Dewar’s Whisky, which captures the brand’s heritage and authenticity.

Both zinc and Corten steel lettering have a naturally weathered, industrial look that appeals to designers looking for something understated yet full of character. These materials develop a patina over time, enhancing their rugged appeal and making them ideal for exterior signage or contemporary branding.

When it comes to material quality, we work with only the highest grades of metal. For brass letters, we use either CZ120 (comprising 59% copper and 39% zinc) or CZ108 (with 63% copper and 37% zinc), depending on the finish and structural properties required. Our copper letters are manufactured from grade C106, a 99.9% pure copper known for its excellent workability and consistent appearance.
