General Interest on Bronze Sheet Metal
The colour of new natural bronze is virtually the same as good quality copper though it is a little brighter. To the untrained eye it would be difficult to tell the two metals apart. When it ages or is patinated bronze it develops that deep grey colour. When copper ages naturally outdoor it goes through colour changes through browns to black then eventually green. Bronze sheet metal is expensive and we do not get a lot of call for it in the manufacture of table tops or bar tops, copper is typically used instead. It is used mainly in general engineering and machining
A lot of very interesting information can be found about bronze on Wiki, the earliest use of bronze dates back about 5000 years. One of the main uses of bronze was for casting sculptures, it is used in marine applications because of its resistance to sea water.
