Frequently Asked Questions – Copper Sheet Metal

What finishes are available for copper sheet metal?

We supply copper sheet metal in a wide range of finishes, including natural mill finish, satin, brushed and mirror-polished. We also offer hand-applied patina finishes such as aged copper, antique tones, and verdigris green and blue.

What thickness copper sheet metal do you supply?

We supply copper sheet metal in thicknesses from 0.3mm to 3.0mm, suitable for fabrication, interiors, signage and engineering applications.

Which copper grades do you supply?

We stock high-quality C101, C103 and C106 copper sheets. These grades provide excellent conductivity, corrosion resistance and workability for both industrial and decorative applications.

Can copper sheet metal be laser cut?

Yes. We offer precision laser cutting for copper sheets up to 3mm thick, suitable for decorative panels, components and bespoke designs.

Can I order copper sheet metal in custom sizes?

Yes. We supply copper sheets in custom sizes, including trimmed panels, part sheets and laser cut shapes. This allows you to order the exact dimensions required for your project.

How does copper change over time?

Natural copper starts as a bright reddish metal and gradually develops darker brown tones before forming a green or blue patina when exposed to the elements. Indoors, this process is slower and produces warmer tones.

Is copper suitable for kitchens and hospitality interiors?

Yes. Copper is widely used for worktops, splashbacks, bar tops and tabletops. It is durable, easy to maintain and develops a distinctive aged character over time unless sealed.

Can copper sheet be used outdoors?

Yes. Copper is highly resistant to corrosion and is commonly used for roofing, cladding and signage. Over time, it forms a protective patina that enhances durability.

Can copper sheet metal be fabricated?

Yes. Copper can be bent, folded, brazed, soldered, welded and spun. We offer full fabrication services and can manufacture components from drawings or sketches.

Do you supply hammered copper sheets?

Yes. Our hammered copper sheets are hand-beaten by British coppersmiths, creating a unique surface pattern ideal for decorative and interior applications.

Do you offer samples?

Yes. We provide copper sheet samples for designers, architects and educational institutions. Please contact us to request a sample pack.

Do you deliver across the UK?
